Just a quick update while I am sitting here at Starbucks (I know, I know!):
Mum and I made it to England safely on Friday and spent the day visiting Westminster Abbey. I love traveling to places that I have already visited with people who have never been before. The amazement and wonder in their eyes is priceless. (And I can’t discount the pleasure that I get in playing tour guide. At least my history degree is doing me some good!) The case was similar with the Tower of London, which we visited yesterday.
Due to some hotel woes (which I will discuss in length when I leave London), Mum is tired to the point of exhaustion today, so we will be playing it low key and taking a bus tour of the city. I’ve never done one before, so it will prove a new experience for me as well.
